Podlediad Ysgol Sageston

In December 2024, we pupils in Kingfisher Class worked with Marc Griffiths from Stwdiobox to record a podcast entirely in Welsh.

Click below to listen to it.

The following pages should provide you with some key information about the learning and day-to-day routines within each of our classes.

Some information, though, is relevant to all pupils:

Water Bottles

All pupils need to bring in a clearly labelled water bottle filled with water each day.  It is important for pupils to stay hydrated throughout the day and these bottles can be kept in the classroom for pupils to have easy access to water at all times.

Fruit Snack

During their morning break, all pupils are encouraged to bring in a healthy/fruit snack to eat.  If this is in a container, please ensure that the container is clearly labelled.

House Points

We have four houses that are named after Pembrokeshire castles.  Each pupil is assigned a house and can earn house points for their house for a number of reasons, including positive behaviour, good work when learning and demonstrating any of our twelve core values.  Each term, we have a winning house and they are given a reward experience to enjoy together.

Behaviour

It is very important to our whole school community that pupils behave appropriately when in school.  This ensures that everyone can enjoy their time at school and that learning is not disrupted by unacceptable behaviour.  We have a Behaviour Charter that we expect all pupils to follow.  This Charter aims to create consistency around the way behaviour is dealt with by adults in the school to ensure equity and fairness for all.

Pupils in Robin Class work from the first page of the Charter.  All over pupils work from the second page of the Charter.
